We are currently seeking a General Construction Laborer. You will assist the job foreman and strive to provide top notch assistance on various jobs. Some examples of work to be performed is drilling of light pole and traffic signal foundations, trenching and installing conduit, pulling wire, installing signage, and various construction related tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing work truck for the days activities such as loading material, obtaining proper tools and equipment, securing machinery to trailers
- Digging trenches in preparation for conduit to be installed
- Operating and general maintenance/cleaning of machinery, tools, & equipment
- Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes
- Pulling conductors
- Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties
- Pouring and finishing small concrete pours; less than 1 cubic yard
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction, concrete work, or other related fields
- Familiarity with job site safety requirements that lead to a safe working environment
- Familiarity with the proper PPE needed for the application at hand that leads to zero accidents
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
**This is a full time position. Normal hours are 7AM-4PM Monday thru Friday. Overtime is rare but 40 hours is guaranteed each week with the exception of inclement weather.
