Tracie Strayham

President

Tracie is a Mississippi Gulf Coast native who values hard work, family, and her faith.  She is married to the Janitor,  Nick Strayham, and together they have two children, Ramsey Kait and Haven Lee.  She is a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish.  She prides herself in leading the electrical industry in the coastal area with a business that has been around since 1940 and in her family since 2001.  She values education and has two associates’, one bachelor’s, and a master’s degree. In her spare time she enjoys exercising, fishing, and hunting with her family.

Nicolas Strayham

Janitor

Nick was born and raised on the Gulf Coast. After attending Mississippi State, he returned to the Coast to embark on his dream of owning his own business. In January of 2017, Nick and Tracie purchased Lamey Electric and assumed responsibility for its operations. With a goal of growth and outstanding employees, his dream is coming true. Nick’s favorite things to do outside of work are offshore fishing, duck hunting with his dog Zoe Charles, & spending time with his family outdoors.

Mandy Mahan

Office Manager

A graduate of d’Iberville High School and Millsaps College, Mandy holds a BA in English with a minor in Spanish.  Prior to managing Lamey Electric’s office, she spent 16 years in secondary education.  She has known Nick and Tracie for close to 30 years and has helped them with previously owned businesses in the past.  She is married to WDAM’s evening meteorologist Ryan Mahan which is in Hattiesburg.  They have a son named Sig, one dog, and one cat.

Project Managers

Curtis Spiers

Project Manager & Estimator - Alternative Energy/Residential

Curtis was born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and is a US Air Force Veteran where he was a Bio-Medical Electronics Technician. Following his military service, he had a twenty-five year career with the Jackson County Sherriff’s Department where he spent most of his career in Narcotics Investigation and Enforcement. After retiring in August 2021, he became part of the Lamey Electric team. Curtis heads up all of our Alternative Energy solutions; generator sales, service, and installation division. Curtis also handles estimating and project management for small residential projects such as exterior electrical service replacements, new power circuitry needs, EV Charger installations, hot tub feeders, swimming pools and much more. Curtis is an avid fisherman who is always willing to go the extra mile to fulfill our customers needs.  

Larry Fountain

Project Manager & Estimator - Municipal & Roadway Projects

Larry is a born-and-raised Gulf Coast native.  He started his tenure with Lamey Electric in September of 2009.  He has 40 years of experience in the electrical field and is certified in traffic controller troubleshooting, programming, and vehicle detection.  Larry’s vast experience in the field makes him invaluable in the office. His ‘can do’ attitude is obvious to those that work with him. He is passionate about his family and the great outdoors.

William Strayham

Project Manager - Field Operations

Born and raised in Biloxi, William has been a life long resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  He joined the Lamey Electric family in 2017 after retiring from a 37 year career at Dupont. His favorite type of work to perform is traffic signal construction and light pole foundations.  He has been happily married to his wife Joan for 43 years, and they have three amazing children and eight adorable grandchildren.  He loves hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. 

Rick Snell

Project Manager & Estimator - Commercial Construction

Rick was born in Boston, MA, raised in New Mexico, and moved to the Gulf Coast in 1969. Rick has been in the electrical industry since 1974.   Rick joined the Lamey Electric family in 2023 as a project manager and estimator for our commercial projects. Rick has been married to his wife Ida for more than 30 years. Rick currently resides in Vancleave, MS with his wife and bulldog Hercules. Rick likes to do woodworking, song writing, and playing the guitar.
